Lipidase 7500
Product: Lipidase is a specially formulated lipase which is produced for use in agricultural applications. Lipidase has broad ranges of activity and action patterns suitable for use in all types of saturated and unsaturated animal and vegetable fats and oils. Included in this group of substances digested by Lipidase such as soy oil, canola oil, linseed oil, coconut oil, palm oil, beef fat, olive oil and fats present in fish oil.
The enzymes in Lipidase are effective on saturated as well as relatively unsaturated forms of these triglyceride esters. Highly saturated fats digest in much accelerated fashion when emulsified in aqueous solution. The enzyme catalyzes the conversion of the fat and oils into water‐soluble components that are more easily biodegraded.
Activity Level: 7,500Units / gram lipase activity, pH 7.0.
Method of Analysis: Measurement of fatty acid (butyric acid) liberated from tributyrin, pH 7.0 at 30°C.
pH Optimum: 7.0 – 12.0, Activity range: 5.0 – 13.5.
Appearance: Light tan to off‐white; free‐flowing granular powder, neutral odor.
Storage Conditions: For optimal activity over longest storage time, keep in dry place under 110°F. Half life under these conditions is in excess of two years.
Precautions: See above storage conditions; also see material safety data sheet for general information concerning enzymes. Avoid use in extremely dusty environment; concentrate may cause allergic reactions in certain susceptible individuals. Many of these enzymes will normally survive processing at elevated temperatures. Care should be taken to insure that minimum of steam is used and that temperatures used are no greater than necessary to accomplish desired results. Presence of soluble calcium will help improve temperature stability of this product.
Package Sizes: 20, 40 and 80 lb. polyethylene‐lined fiber drums.
