Fungal Amylase is an alpha amylase enzyme preparation produced by Aspergillus oryzae. It is available as a liquid or a powder formulation. Side activities present are: hemi-cellulase, beta-glucanase and protease
This rapid acting hydrolase is particularly active in the mildly acidic pH range and readily degrades a wide variety of starch containing substrates. Fungal amylase is well suited for numerous industrial, sanitary and agricultural processes where it’s pH range is often complementary to alpha amylase from bacterial sources. This product also contains unidentified fermentation factors (UGF’s) which may act in a catalytic fashion in ethanol and other fermentation processes.
USES: Fungal Amylase is used in commercial starch modification, cleaning compounds, textile processing, fermentation pretreatment and animal feed supplements. It can supplement the deficiency of endogenous amylase of young animals. It can also increase the utilization of feedstuffs by hydrolyzing the starch contained in feed to generate dextrins and sugars. In addition, this enzyme facilitates the contact between the digestive enzymes and chyme to improve nutrition absorption and utilization. Fungal amylase lowers feed conversion ratio (FCR) and improve animal production performance and utilization of energy. This product is available in three powder versions and one liquid concentration.
APPEARANCE: Powder is tan, free flowing powder with a pleasant, fermentation aroma.
PACKAGING: Powder available in 25 kg. and 50 lb. boxes.
Liquid available in 55 gallon drum, 275 gallon tote, and 1,000 kg. tote.
